The Leading Standard for Exceptional Views.
The Most Perfect View is the world’s foremost authority on hotel views. Combining data-driven analysis with hospitality, photography, and destination marketing expertise, we have developed the industry’s most rigorous and reliable methodology for assessing hotel views.

How We Certify
Hotel Views
-
It means the hotel’s views have been professionally assessed using a 100-point system developed by “The Most Perfect View Certified” program. Only properties offering truly exceptional visual experiences are certified, helping travelers book with confidence.
-
Each view is analyzed using the HAVDS (Hotel Adjusted View Desirability Score), which takes into account the quality of the visible subject, its distance from the hotel, visibility levels, perspective, and the number of rooms or spaces offering that view.
-
Any view with striking visual impact—whether it’s a world-renowned skyline, a serene lake, a dramatic coastline, or a stunning sunset. The program rewards both beauty and uniqueness, not just fame.
-
It removes uncertainty. Certified views are backed by a transparent and objective scoring system, ensuring that what’s promised in photos or descriptions is exactly what you’ll experience upon arrival and throughout your stay.
-
Not necessarily. The certification includes a breakdown of view types across the property—indicating which rooms offer full, partial, or glimpse views, and which public areas provide scenic value.
-
Hotels with certified views often charge premium rates—but the difference is justified by the quality of the view, the certainty of experience, and the value of a moment guests will remember.
For Hotels with Views
-
It is the world’s first certification dedicated to evaluating hotel views through a rigorous, data-driven 100-point scoring system. The certification is awarded only to properties that deliver extraordinary scenic experiences across both private and public spaces
-
A hotel must achieve a minimum score of 80 out of 100 points to be certified. Properties that fall below this threshold will not be featured or promoted under the program.
-
The program uses two proprietary tools: the VDS (View Desirability Score), which evaluates the intrinsic value of visible landmarks or natural features, and the HAVDS (Hotel Adjusted VDS Score), which adjusts for how the hotel presents those views—factoring in distance, visibility, and perspective.
-
Cityscapes, coastlines, mountains, gardens, valleys, rivers, and architectural icons can all qualify—what matters most is the visual impact, uniqueness, and guest experience.
-
1. Hotel Reputation
2. View Analysis (HAVDS)
3. Private Areas
4. Public Areas
5. View Relevance
6. Disclosure
-
Hotels must provide floor and room distribution data, details about public and private areas with views, high-quality images, and any relevant guest feedback referencing the visual experience. In most cases, there is also an on-site inspection and/or an online interview to verify the information and better understand the hotel’s view experience.
-
No. Certification is entirely merit-based. Only hotels that meet the scoring criteria through objective evaluation will be certified. While hotels cannot purchase their way into certification, we plan to introduce an optional partnership program exclusively for certified properties. This program, which involves a participation fee, is designed to give greater visibility to hotels where the view plays a defining role. It will offer enhanced promotional support and marketing tools—however, participation is entirely voluntary and does not influence the outcome of the certification process.
